-Scotch or masking tape
-Acrylic paint & Paintbrushes
-Varnish
-Decoupage
-Decals, clip-art, images
-Water-based varnish sealant
-Ribbon bow
Decorated Kid-Size Hanger Instructions:
1. Cover the hanger's wire hook with scotch or masking tape, which will protect the hook while painting.
2. Using a paintbrush and acrylic paint, paint the hanger as desired. Let the first coat dry completely, then repeat with a second coat. Once dry, treat the hanger with a light coat of varnish; the decoupage will go on easier. For the natural look, only use a clear varnish.
3. Coat back of the image with a bit of decoupage, then center the image on the hanger or place multiple images all over hanger. Smooth out any bubbles with the palm of your hand, then apply another coat of decoupage on top (this will seal the image onto the hanger and preserve it). Embellish the image as desired, repeating the process. Let dry.
4. When dry, lightly coat the entire hanger with water-based varnish sealant, which will protect the hanger from wear. Let dry. If needed, a decorative bow can be added to the hanger.
